More autumn - shapes and colours

Our horse chestnut tree is a little confused by autumn. On some sections the leaves are still green, if a little battered looking. At the other extreme some sections have dropped their totally brown leaves altogether, This cluster of leaves was half-way through the process.
We spent our outside time today gathering and putting away our garden furniture. One set is left on the covered veranda at Betty's in case we wish to sit out during the winter. The rest is away in a shed, hibernating through the winter.
After completing that task we moved off to Rose's for dinner and then on to film studio where we watched Belfast. We'd all seen it before but agreed it was easily worth watching again.
In other news the Red House bathroom now has a sealed golden floor, and white walls. That's progress. We aren't sure what comes next but the electrician has to come in to fit  lights and heating, the plumber has to come in to put in water and all the bathroom furniture,  someone has to put in a ceiling, and finish the window, and do a bit of painting. Then we'll have a bathroom. I'm not holding my breath...
