Tractor Transporter

There was a long queue of traffic and I was stuck beside this impressive load for a while so I snatched a quick blip. I was making a 5 hour round trip to Forfar Sheriff Court, hand delivering an application for Confirmation, the Scottish version of probate, which I need to be able to collect  my brother's life insurance as executor of his estate. It could have been posted but that would have involved sending either my passport or my photo driving licence unattended into the wide world of postal strikes. I need to post my passport to the passport  office to renew it, and I need my driving license to get a courtesy car while ours is repaired. The envelope also contained my brother's original will.

A very helpful gentleman checked over my envelope of documents on the spot and gave me back the passport which was a relief as the process can take weeks. A high percentage of applications are rejected because of errors in the application, some several times.  He checked it all carefully and seemed satisfied so I have my fingers crossed for a good result. I've had a lot of help by using a firm in Edinburgh who specialise in helping people get Confirmation first time and provided a lot of resources and explanations as well as checking my form and suggesting some changes.
The court official checked it all carefully and seemed satisfied so I have my fingers crossed for a good result.
