Serendipity

I managed to snap this magpie just as it took off from our roof while I was attempting to photograph  a patch of sunlight .
 
We were grumbling in the swimming pool today about  the heating having been reduced .  
Reckon we are going to see more of this as the winter of austerity sets in.
Friends are already telling me they have taken to putting on extra clothes indoors rather than turn the heating up. I know I have taken to wearing more in the house .

Boris has cut short his holiday in the Caribbean and is flying back to the UK now. The polls put him in the lead.
