Wallflower

There are relatively few flowers left in our garden. Most of the annuals have by now been dug up, and others plants have been cut back ready for the winter. So I’m very pleased to see these little purple-pink wallflowers which have survived against the odds. I planted them last autumn ready for the spring, and they have been in flower almost continuously.

It’s been a day of sunshine and heavy showers - raindrops clinging to the petals. And as for me, it’s been a day of working on my photo books - I’m hoping that I can actually get them finished at long last!
