A Very Sad Photograph.

Pat bakes a lot. No, she has no desire to take part in the GBBO!

The rabbit in the thumbnail looks sad and I look forward with anticipation.

Every glass dome in this photograph should be filled with Cakes, Puddings, and Fudges. It is empty!

However, I know Pat will soon be working her magic to restock.

This is a photograph of the American Hutch in our kitchen dining area.

This particular piece of furniture belonged to a certain John Muir, much revered in America. He was a Scot. He founded the American National Parks and was a highly regarded naturalist and author.

How come we now have it? John Muir left the hutch to a friend and neighbour who was a school teacher.

She taught Pat’s father Victor and offered the piece to buy when she ‘downsized’ after retirement

Victor and Mary kept it in their kitchen until Mary died, aged 96. It was then inherited by Pat who shipped it over to Scotland.

It is actually a very useful storage unit which we use every day.
