Friday Sunset

This is Friday's blip, backblipped on Saturday.

Becky and Darrin took us out to dinner tonight to celebrate our 50th anniversary.  (It was actually 3 weeks ago but we were out of town.)  We were treated to a colorful sunset on the way.  This shot was taken through the car window at about 50 mph.  I brought the camera to take photos in the restaurant, even brought it in with me, but didn't take a shot.

The meal was elegant and delicious.  Becky and I both had Beef Wellington that was prepared perfectly.  PD had Filet Mignon that was much to his dismay pink in the middle.  It was a good learning experience for him.  He found out that meat actually tastes better when it isn't brown all the way through. ;-)  Darrin had pan-seared duck breast, which was also very good.  The staff was very attentive and brought was free appetizers because our waiter was slightly delayed.  We didn't have to wait too long, and it was nice to be able to enjoy talking and having drinks before dinner anyway.  It was a perfect evening. :-)

I am grateful for our thoughtful children!
