Before the Rain

It didn’t seem the kind of Sunday morning worth getting up early for, dark and damp.
However, eventually I got  bored lying listening to ClassicFM and so, feet over the side of the bed to watch a lovey farming programme about a farm in Evie, Orkney before seeing the  compulsive grilling of politicians by Laura Kuenssberg. The shenanigans at Westminster are great, although scary, entertainment.

With the serious stuff out of the way it was over to Söderberg for the usual Sunday coffee session with a Merry Widow and half a blueberry bun (warmed).

The sun made it out for a short spell in the morning giving the trees a chance to glow golden in their autumn livery but it was not meant last and by 2pm the sun had slunk off to points north while rain returned from the south.

Just before the rain started, I had a short dander to Poundland to pick up some cheesy biscuits and some snacking prunes . The latter cost £1.50 compared to £3.50 in M&S. It looks like I shall have to dander that way again
