Silly Saturday ...

... at Minsi Lake.

It was a perfect Autumn day so we decided to take ourselves to Minsi Lake.  We thought about taking the kayak but it was a little too windy.  But we still had a great time and the fall colors were lovely.  

Getting up the the lake was a challenge as the traffic was terrible today.  The PA Turnpike was closed just north of us which created lots of traffic on the roads that we take to get to Minsi Lake.  It took us almost twice as long as normal.  But we were rewarded for our perseverance.   Four of the six pictures in my collage were taken at the lake.  Including the pickerel frog, the lovely female bluebird and Melanie and her dog, Eva enjoying a kayak trip.

The lower middle picture is of a male goldfinch in his drab winter coloring.  It's amazing that they can go from bright yellow to this in what seems like no time.  I prefer them in their bright yellow!

The upper left picture is my Silly Saturday shot and shows Kiera and Cheddar sharing their window hammock bed!  I don't know how Cheddar can sleep with his nose where it is!  Silly boy!
