Sea day

Back blip

Having left port early evening yesterday we sailed up the Norwegian coast toward Tromso having crossed into the Arctic Circle at 66 degrees N
Another art class this morning where we learnt to paint birds freehand and the iconic Cunard Bow. Again different techniques were employed with wet on dry and wet on wet to allow the paint to ‘bleed’ giving a soft edge to simulate feathers. I fine Rima brush was used to paint the ship which was first traced onto the paper.
Early evening we did a seminar on photographing the Northern Lights by John McLean FRAS. He is also a professional photographer. Earlier in the day Alan attended his lecture about Aliens and Exoplanets
