Browns

Before breakfast, and whilst J was getting sorted, I had a short walk around the Park. As yesterday, large flocks of redwings flying around. The yew trees are laden with berries - winter thrush food.

Mid morning we travelled to Silverdale, and parked near The Shore. The tide was coming in fast, and the remnant of a sandbank disappeared displacing the waders feeding there. The extra shows some of them before it all got too deep and they flew.

We walked to Jenny Brown’s Point and returned via Jack Scout. The bracken is looking very autumnal - my Mono Monday attempt.

Back to The Shore to see the tide had receded some distance out. A bright new orange car (an MG4 EV I believe) drove onto the shingle. The driver and passenger got out, and the driver proceeded to take photographs of his shiny new vehicle (extra) before they both got back in and drove off again. Totally incongruous.

And we have another new prime minister. Rishi Sunak won’t forget this Diwali, the festival of lights. He’s got quite a challenge ahead.
