Plaster patina

I took this image in the church at Binham Priory in Norfolk. My interest was the way this symmetrical iron work is sited on the wall for no apparent purpose. When I came to process it, I also noticed the fading paint on the plaster, which gives another dimension.
Harvested the remaining apples this morning before pilates and a trip to the shops this afternoon for a few essentials.
Yesterday evening we went to Sheffield to hear Marina Hyde, who was promoting her new book as part of the Off The Shelf festival. Entertaining and funny with some very astute comments on recent events, as well as interesting background to the way she works and her life and career.
So we have another PM, the cards are being shuffled, everything will be different and better, times will be tough and improved, and the mandate is to deliver the same manifesto that has produced the current period of decline. Oh, and he wants us to trust him!?
