Secret Squirrel

H and I walked in Sheringham Park this morning.  It was a gorgeous Autumn day, lots of lovely sunshine and although a tad chilly first thing the temperature had risen to 16 degrees centigrade by lunchtime.

This little fellow was one of many squirrels gorging themselves on the abundant harvest of sweet chestnuts littering the woodland floor.  He's certainly going to have a hearty larder of nuts for the winter.

H found this amazingly huge bracket fungus (plus a younger smaller one) on a fallen tree trunk.  H kindly posed with it in order to illustrate its impressive size.
