Butterflies galore

We've seen lots and lots of migrating butterflies today. Thousands, probably. All heading north, and rarely stopping. Seen while flying, they look to be uniformly white in colour. When I walked to the lookout this afternoon I photographed one that had, momentarily, alighted on a banksia and saw its black and yellow markings. I think it's a Caper White, described in this webpage from the Australian Museum.

I searched Blipfoto for Caper White and found that jensphotos and Palladian have both blipped it previously. And so did I at this time last year. Blipfoto is a constant delight.
