Discouraging visitors

The streets around here may discourage parents from letting their children wander around. The roads are narrow, and apart from the main road and one or two other roads, there is no footpath beside the carriageway.

The 'skeleton' might be quite disturbing to a small person. The pseudo-police tape ordering potential callers to KEEP OUT, could dissuade those who can read. As might the wee sign attached to the letterbox; it reads 'Asylum', which in New Zealand is synonymous with "mental asylum", and might suggest a house full of disturbed people.

The invasion of US style activity in Auckland on the night of 31 October is not welcomed by a substantial number of households, and I suspect this is one of those who would rather not have this activity.
