More Birds

We haven't been out to the nature reserve at Upton Warren for a while so we took off this morning to see it.  First was a coffee at the cafe and looking out over the water.  It was during this period we saw the heron having a stroll on one of the jetties.

After a walk round, including a pop into Webbs Garden Centre on the opposite side of the road, we returned to the cafe for a very nice lunch before heading off to visit the bird hides.

There was a large group of lapwings, taking off, flying round and landing on the small islands in the lake, also lots of geese and this pair of grebes. We also saw a pair of wagtails that I've put in the extras.
