Edna Swayne

Today was Sandra's Mum's funeral service at Cam Valley Crematorium. The place was beautiful, the sun shone, loads of people were there and Sandra paid a most moving tribute to her 'Mum' and read a poem that had us all in tears.  She did the same for her Dad 15 or so years ago - she's an amazing woman.

We celebrated Edna's life, a 'people-person' who loved to chat and loved her family and friends.  We heard a funny anecdote about the Libra Club, a 'slimming/social' club she ran over decades, where if people put on a lb they paid a £ into a pot - which was then put towards a Christmas meal, or cake!  Funnily enough one of her friends I spoke to afterwards said she never realised it was supposed to be a slimming club.

I loved Sandra's Mum.  Safe travels and RIP Edna Swayne. xxx
