Mother and child

Fancied a beach walk this morning so headed to West Kilbride on the Ayrshire Coast. It was grey and breezy then after a while the rain started but nice to get some sea air and watch some birds. The herring gulls were in the car park when we were heading back to the car, the Meadow Pipit (fairly sure?) in the extra was one of many flitting around the dunes and the shore. Also saw a cormorant diving in the water, a Little Egret fishing in a rock pool and several pied wagtails.
