Lapwing

A miserable wet morning here so drove over to the central belt where the weather was slightly better. Parked at Helix Park, home of the Kelpies (grumpy looking Kelpie in extra) and had a wander along the canal and then back along the River Carron. Lots of birds about but this small flock of Lapwing were the best, wonderful to watch, tumbling through the sky!
Others included : heron, cormorants, merganser, gulls, mallards, a swan and some small waders that I could not identify as too far away.
On the way home we popped into the Dobbie Hall, Larbert for the Makers Market where blipper Nadine Pierce had a stall today selling her wonderful Pentland Aromatics range. Lovely to meet Nadine at last and purchase a few amazing smelling products!
