Tiptree Tea Room At The Lock

Ollie dog and I went for a walk along the sea wall from Heybridge Basin. It was amazingly sunny and warm. I saw my first clouded yellow butterflies, lots of them, of 2022.

I was hoping for Brent geese in flight but not many were on the wing. I've added a row of up-tail avocets to the bottom of my image. These black and white waders, with their upturned bills, were nearly extinct but are now thriving. An avocet is the symbol of the RSPB.

My main image is Ollie by the lock with the Tiptree Tea Room in the background.
