Shocking pink

It was a beautiful May Day bank holiday, spent mainly down on the allotment. The tulips were fully open but will only last for a few days more. These Tulipa 'Mariette' are full of colour, especially when viewed backlit. I normally prefer paler tulips, but these work with more delicate pinks and the darker 'Queen of the night'.
