Tradition incoming

A slow morning reconnecting with Danny and catching up on all that happened in the past week. Then later out to buy the kids buckets for going round the shops with later. It was an especially loved trip out as we bumped into so many folks!
Later on we headed up the hill to Todd ad Stephen's for year 2 of our tradition of getting a fancy dress pic of the kids with them. I love that T&S want to see their costumes and that they make a fuss of the kids. From there we went to Charlie's for a kids tea. Michelle had invited about 6 of them over for a mini dinner party. She'd put in so much effort, it was really lovely. And it was also Nate's first time being really included in the 'big girl' crowd. They all headed off to go round the shops in a little town about 20 minutes away, but by all accounts it was jam packed with people (Danny went along with them) and it really wasn't much fun for a kid like Asha who doesn't enjoy crowds. So the tea was the highlight for my kids.
Meanwhile I visited a couple of folks on the streets - I felt like it was midnight - pitch-black by 6,30!!!!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Lovely lovely post from Daveen - a photo of Eden & me for the fridge.
2) A great gift from Danny, his tutor's book - Rediscovering Scripture's Vision for Women. Fresh Perspectives on disputed Texts. Lucy Peppiatt.
3) Michelle being so kind and throwing the kids a fantastic tea party - their highlight.
