Table Rock

We are back home after a whirlwind trip to Grants Pass in southern Oregon. It was a relaxing trip for the most part - flying was a nice way to go, even with the hassles at the airports these days. We had a relatively easy time of it.

I love to fly - love every minute of it, the take-off, the views - even if it's cloudy, the upper sides of clouds are so interesting - the descent and landing. Today was mostly clear, though a little hazy. I don't often have much luck taking photos through the scratchy double-paned plane windows, but this one turned out pretty well. This is one of two mesas between Medford (where we flew in and out) and Grants Pass; they're both called Table Rock (one upper and one lower - I'm not sure which this is). Table Rock was a sanctuary for Takelma Indians. Seeing it from the air makes me want to visit it, though I'm not up for the hike.

Liza was very happy to see us when we got home!
