Heading Northwest

We decided to go to Scarborough, choosing to walk most of the way.
We drove to Filey and then walked some of The Cleveland Way enjoying the views from the headland, a little undulating but very manageable for me.
Started off in sunny weather which gradually got duller as we approached our destination.
No rain and still warm.
Nothing like the weather we were half expecting.
We walked on the beach at Scarborough, giving Ronnie a chance to be off lead.
We saw we had clocked up another eight miles and declared we were hungry.
Then found a dog friendly cafe (always prefer to support an independent rather than a chain) and had a toasted sandwich of mozzarella and pesto and very good coffee.
We then caught the bus back to where we had parked the car.
Now back at the cottage and it has started to rain and the wind is getting stronger by the hour.
