Ombersley

We went for a drive out this morning starting in the village of Ombersley. The centre of the village has some interesting and old properties plus a coffee shop, Checketts, full of nooks and crannies, crammed with various foods and ointments and reasonable coffee, though expensive, the most I've paid for two coffees anywhere!

So we had coffee then took a look round the village. It's nice to do a village again, our first since moving to Worcestershire.

I took some pics then we moved onto Holt Fleet just up the road.  A small hamlet with a very grand looking pub and a couple of farm shops, one of which we visited.

On the way home we tried to visit the National Trust dovecote at Hawford but parking is unavailable either on, approaching or anywhere near the place. So we gave up for now

After lunch we made a rice and red lentil veggie roast which we're having for tea.

The picture is of St Andrews Church in Ombersley. I apologise for the blurring in part of the photo, on examination I see I have a smudge on the lens, probably from yesterday's rain.
