the map said 1.6 miles

 How come we did 7 miles (and we didn’t get lost.)

Our walk today took us through Stridd woods to Bolton Abbey. There was so much to see, forest paths, river views and fungi lots of fungi.

The abbey was stunning with views of the river.

The weather was kind and dry but grey until we started home.

Then the rain started so I put the camera into the backpack and said to Mr PC don’t want to see a kingfisher or a red mushroom. Then no sooner had I said it, he saw a flash of blue and it was a kingfisher flying along the bank. (I can only take his word for it)

Back to the caravan all weary but happy with our day.
