Ballerina

It's been a glorious day in Shrewsbury where friend Liz and I have been today. First stop Barclays Bank as the branch in our town has recently closed. On entering the Bank it looked like a cross between A&E where the large queue of people were being triaged and a Las Vegas casino with large machines purring in the background. I only wanted to pay a few pennies into my tiny Craft account and after 20 mins or so I was triaged into the International banking zone where I was able to actually pay the small pittance into my tiny craft account. A real eye-opener and It would've been much easier to pop the pennies into my piggy bank at home! After that ordeal we were off to our favourite yarn shop for a delightful browse and helpful advice from Becca on our latest knitting projects. Then a light lunch siting out on the terrace of a delightful cafe overlooking the river and the magnificent English Bridge. We spent some time in the Market Hall having a good look at all the lovely stalls and I picked up a bag of Polenta to make a gluten free Orange, almond and polenta cake, will have a go at that tomorrow. Lastly we had a good browse round the fabric shops.

It's been a super day. The little ballerina for Friday Friday, thanks so much to BikerBear ~Anni~ for hosting and The English Bridge in extra.
