Still Fighting

After a day of torrential rain today was all blue skies and sunshine, so I took myself off to Richmond Park for some restorative fresh air and walks.

The royal park is famous for its deer (red and fallow), and I found a group in front of the White Lodge generally grazing or sitting quietly. Although the rutting season is pretty much over, these two young stags clearly hadn't got the message and were still challenging each other by locking horns and pushing each other around. However, it was really more like playing as there never appeared to be any aggression. When they eventually broke off, one moved away to the edge of the group bellowing his disapproval, while the other, presumably the "victor", proudly stood his ground (extra).
