Steps

I admire these gables whenever I stop outside the village shop. Waiting here for Chris to collect a parcel from said ship before we finally headed home. 

So, today was the usual post holiday mix of washing and food shopping. In addition we had to collect an order of North Ronaldsay beef which we'd been unable to collect as we were away. The procedure sounded simple, except that the storage company had passed our small order over to be delivered back up to N Ronaldsay. So a trip to the pier head to find everyone at lunch and unable to help just now. So we HAD to have a nice lunch of soup and a good coffee before we collected the beef ;-)

We've been told that Berry has damaged her ligaments as much a she can, so keeping her very confined isn't a complete necessity ... yet. So she got an on-lead short wander and some better sniffing as we went home. 

I'm depressed about the state of our track. Always difficult when you return to unavoidable nastiness.
