Southampton

Lorna Lloyd noted Southampton as one of four large English cities that suffered heavy air raids on 2nd December 1940. We are therefore pleased to be able to post this shot part of Southampton city walls near Gods House Tower, kindly sent to us by blipper rosewiles7. Thank you rosewiles7!

A shot of the QEH (noted in this diary entry of 2nd December 1940), for example, would be a great contribution to our crowd-sourced online photograph album of places associated with Lorna Lloyd and her Diary of the war (previously blipped in full in the LornaL journal, and now available as a podcast series with Lorna's great-great niece playing her great-great aunt).
