Autumn at the Posbank / National Park Hoge Veluwe

A photography day today. Together with Peter. Wake up at 5.00 am.
The plan is to go to the National Park de Hoge Veluwe to capture some autumnal scenery, maybe with some red deer in it as well. Maybe even a wolf!

The park opens at 9.00, so prior to that we planned to go to Radio Kootwijk. But during the final kilometers we switched to the Posbank as our first location because there was a nice mist floating around. Kootwijk can wait.
And what a good decision that was. It was amazing to see the hills of the Posbank in the mist and golden morning light. Nobody around, just us. Except for that lonely jogger, that is.
Beautiful light during a few hours! I hadn't seen that in quite a while.

Around 9.00 am we set course to the National Park, where we arrived 30 minutes later. Long story short: We didn't take any photo there the whole day. We just didn't see it. No light, no deer and no wolf. Although lots of people (we saw, I guess, over 50!) were hoping and waiting for it to pass by on the Wildbaan. Camera's and tripod ready.  A bit of a sad sight, knowing that wolves should be left alone, undisturbed. Luckily some people were fully dressed up in camouflage clothes......

Before sunset we saw a group of red deer in the distant. Rutting season is over, so they were all very calm. Just grazing. I uploaded a photo in the extra section.

The morning session at the Posbank was perfect! It made our day.
Diner in Otterlo and after that we went home. We arrived in Delfzijl at 19:30.
