Crumpet

I didn’t know the theme for mono Monday was “Fika” Scandinavian idea of a coffee , cake and a natter.
The British version is tea and and cake or crumpets or toast or whatever takes your fancy. I love a hot buttery crumpet with ground black pepper and salt on it. An idea I thought was very odd  at first when my Father in law used to eat it, but it’s delicious , trust me. Although I’d probably not overdo the salt these days.
