The sun sets over Stopsley

Rachel was telling us about a test that her children at school had done recently and which she was marking over the weekend. It was about singular and plurals for things. The questions went along the lines of a baloon, some ------- where the child had to fill in the blanks, baloons in this case. There were a couple of worked examples to ensure that they got the idea of the exercise.

One child answered as follows:

One sheep, a flock of ----- (ducks)
One foot, a pair of ---- (shoes socks), yes he actually though shoes was a stupid answer so crossed it out and went for socks instead

Its little wonder rachel doesn't want to leave the classroom to be an assistant head. For all sorts of reasons, she just loves working with the children. whio in turn for all sorts of reason just melt her heart -they can of course be little buggesr too!

Anyway, I bet you're wondering what this has to do with the picture - well we concluded that if she was human, Champs (the dog) would be in the same league as the young man who answered the above questions. She is an adorable dog, but was at the back of the queue when they were handing out brains!
