Wind and more wind

Last night, the wind was fierce. Everything rattled. The window cleaners were supposed to do the external windows of the block, but had to give up when their pole snapped in the wind.

Surprised I got to sleep, my lovely new electric-blanket (Lidl, £19.99, “by Silentnight”) was a delight. so pleased I got it. I had one for many years but never used it, and finally threw it out, a year or two ago, as didn’t know if it was still safe.

Still really blowy and heavy rain this morning, but slowly calmed down, followed by a couple of brief downpours. Luckily, we were in Boscombe, by then, and I greedily had a vegan pancake with Maple Syrup at Boscanova.

Was excited when three of the AFCB (Bournemouth football team) Managememt team came in, possibly to discuss tonight’s match in the Cup. They just won a well needed 4-1. After a good start to the season, and back up in the Premier League as well, we’ve lost the last few matches.

Spent most of the day on the phone, calls from Mr B’s half sister in Arizona, and and had an arranged call with Mr B’s cousin, who now lives in Rheims (France), after a working life in England and New Zealand. Also set up Revolut accounts for both of us at the behest of our lovely Italian friend ‘A’ in London, so she would qualify for a decent reward (and sharing it with us). .

Just watched a Bournemouth Uni Zoom on “ "Demystifying NFTs: Understanding the law and technology". Interesting to learn more about them, but still don’t see their point, apart from the originators making up to £68M for selling the rights.

My electrician said parts hadn’t arrived, so appointment cancelled (morning appt had already been changed from am to pm). What is it with electricians? He did seem a very nice guy phone, so hopefully will come soon. Materials already paid for as well.

Good Night all
