Achimenes

Another day, another care home to view!
Today's I found really rather odd; luxury (pretentious) hotel ambience on  arrival on the ground floor but much more basic and frankly quite dismal behind the locked doors of the reminiscence (dementia) suite on the  second floor. Pricing very difficult to ascertain as there seemed to be so many chargeable extras. Even the bedroom furniture is not included- bring your own or buy their special package! 
At least I've seen it and am getting a  feel for the differences between care homes.
What does come across is what a rocky 2 1/2 years they have all experienced , and it is an ongoing problem for them recruiting, training and retaining staff, when so many staff have moved on. I do feel so sorry for anyone running a care home .

Another wet, miserable day, weatherwise.
