One day at a time

Stragglers

The Head Gardener and I went into the garden to do some tidying. I tackled the roadside clearing the kerbs of leaves and grit and managed to gather a brown recycling bin full of copper beech leaves. We have two large copper beeches in our front garden. When it’s windy the rest of the village has a share of our leaves. We like sharing. The Head Gardener tackled the ‘technical’ work while I continued sweeping. I spotted some roses still flowering on 10th November. There are still more to come but I thought these looked lovely. Also managed to get some washing passably dry today.
