Caley Deer Park

Although today has been mild for the time of year it has been very overcast with no brightness at all.
However that didn’t stop us having a very enjoyable walk with the Pudseys.

Starting at Bramhope on the outskirts of Leeds, we walk to Carlton village and then over to Otley Chevin, where we stopped for our picnic lunch.
Afterwards we walked through Caley Deer Park. Once owned by the Fawkes family ( relatives of Guy Fawkes) of Caley Hall which unfortunately was demolished in 1964.
This is where we passed the two sculptures.
Fortunately the rain held off. 6 miles in total.
Back to the pub for a shandy and a good old natter putting the world to rights ( I wish!) before our drive home. Although not far to drive it was dark before we got home.
Can hear the wind whistling down the chimney, but we have lit the wood burner and it is nice and cosy.
Think it will be an early night.
