A grand day out

Up early on Monday morning to beat the commuter traffic heading westwards to Glasgow.
Business done we drive back east to spend some time at Deep Sea World at North Queensferry with J and J. The view as we approached the three bridges across the Forth was very busy (main) but fortunately the traffic wasn’t. This was our first time across the Queensferry Crossing and we had a lovely view of it when we reached the other side (first extra). We had an even closer sighting of the railway bridge when we arrived at the old quarry which is the location of Deep Sea World (second extra).
The highlight of the aquarium was the underwater perspex tunnel where we walked under sharks and rays as they glided overhead and amongst great shoals of salmon swimming alongside us. (third extra)
Our day ended in grand style back in Edinburgh where we treated ourselves to a very special meal at the Balmoral Hotel. It was three truly memorable hours of taste sensations which I’m sure we will revisit time and time again whenever we reminisce.
