Above And Beyond...

Clehonger

My good friend and neighbour, David, completed on his house sale early this morning and popped in for a cuppa whilst waiting for the buyers to arrive.

He's looking to quit his stressful job next week and take a couple of months out for himself to get fitter and try and reduce medications he's on for diabetes, blood pressure, gout, etc. His job pays exceptional money and benefits but he's reassessed priorities and wants a change of life style. We'll keep in touch and I'll pop in and meet him as his girlfriends house which is also on the market as they plan to buy one together. It takes courage to chuck a job that pays well (when you've no other income) when you're not enjoying it. I hope it works out for him.

I popped out for a drive and ended up twenty minutes from home in the lovely little hamlet of Clehonger (Herefordshire). The church of All Saints (13th century) dominates and has a wonderful history in the link.

A lovely dry day, it constantly changed between sunshine and overcast but still quite breezy. Good that the temperature is well above the normal for November helping people use the heating less.
