Warm winds, and baking

After yesterday's picture of Jan the peasant I'm happy to post a picture of Jan the dynamic climber. Here she is, seen crossing measurelessly deep chasms on the cliffs near the Pilot's cottage, Lotsstugan.
Another very warm day, +12°C, but today we had a lot of wind too. It was blowing from the north and we are used to such a wind being really cold, so it was very weird to have a warm wind pushing us southward along the cliffs.
Once we'd walked we drove to Rose, who provided us with home-baked cinammon buns and coffee.
Inspired by Rose's baking, and encouraged by Jan's purchase of kvarg, I spent the evening doing stage 1 of saffron buns, mixing flour, butter, kvarg, salt and milk and leaving it to autolyse overnight. I also did the daily feed for my new sourdough starter which seems to be developing nicely after 4 days.
