Winter Flowering Cherry

Such a rare sight, blossom on a tree with its leaves turning as autumn takes hold.  In the 27 years we have lived in our home, I cannot remember another autumn where these two circumstances have coincided before.

It was a lovely day and I was in the garden, collecting more fallen leaves and as I went into the front of the house the tree was displaying a marvellous array of leaf colour along with the blossom.  I took a few minutes to try and capture the scene for our records.  Afterwards I even cut the front lawn, something I am sure I have never done before in November.  What a crazy season of weather.  Actually, what a crazy year.
