St Johns Bell Tower

This afternoon was out hunting for pics for a challenge of minimalism when I went up past our old church which is being turned into a house.  Makes me sad as it was a beautiful church but suffered earthquake damage and was decided we couldnt afford to restore it. I was the only vote against, rather a lonely place to be. To me they never gave it a chance to try and raise the money.  The foundation stone was laid in 1911.
Have now had a lovely visit from people from away back in my past, what a joy.  Its been a good day. Church this morning and then some gardening and now its raining a lovely steady rain which will be lovely for the garden
