Everything is just so incredibly funny

Baby Margot, who has passed the four months mark, has found her laughing gear. We were pleased to have the little family around for dinner tonight, not only because we love them, but because we were experimenting with a new dish and we needed some subjects.

The dish was a Pithivier, named after the town in France. It's a puff pastry pie with a filling of layered meat and vegetables. Looks spectacular in photos and it can be a large pie or smaller individual ones. We thought we might make the latter version for the annual Christmas lunch, hosted by us in two weeks, for my old uni mates and partners.

Anyway, no disaster, OK and all, but way too much more trouble than it's worth. Even though tonight's guests left satisfied, we decided we need to find a plan B.

Stay happy and we'll and enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
