Sunday Strolling

This afternoon we went to lunch at a local vineyard with Andrew and Bev.  It was a sunny afternoon and a lot of people came in on their bikes. It is near the great taste trail.  The food was yummy and afterwards we went to Rabbit Island so Kasper could have his afternoon walk.  We all walked with him and I liked seeing the grasses blowing about.  The stumps and logs are what's left after the pine trees were logged.  I have been seeing these cut over areas all my married life.  It just seemed familiar to me.  The forester gave us a forestry 101 lecture when we got to the mature trees.  This area may look like weeds at present but it is planted with native trees and in time it will be a forest walk.  Those white shapes are protecting the baby trees. The extra is because the water really was that colour.
Having computer issues so this week may be phoned in.  Laptop has been dropped off to the computer doctor.
