Variations on a Theme

Today has been varied and has included thus far:

Collecting nails (so dogs don't get hurt) from where the bonfire was for Guy Fawkes now that the main debris has been lifted. This involved using our metal detector for the first time which was fun.
*a short yoga practice at home
*Sorting out my felting wools
*Getting wet walking to u3a committee meeting (It started to rain heavily mid-morning and is still doing so)
*u3a committee meeting followed by tea/coffee and chat
*lift back (so I didn't get any wetter)
*Gaelic Class

with Scottish Country Dancing to come.

I have been experimenting with using cookie cutters to make Xmas decorations with felt as well as some free form ones.

The cookie cutter ones seem an easier as there is a knack to doing the edges which I am only beginning to get to grips with.

The trees have still to be decorated - hence the sorting of the wool and the gingerbread people's faces need some refinement. It is all good fun (although I think T is beginning to worry that the house will become a winter wonderland come December !)
