The Lozarithm Lens

By Lozarithm

Woody Wednesday (16th November 2022)

Today was the day that the Front Yard tin drum was finally dismantled and replaced with a whisky half-barrel. The drum is currently in two rather interesting sculptural shapes, one of which is shown above, and hasn't yet been completely consigned for the recycling centre. The light was poor and the weather wasn't ideal. Both Refna and I got soaked through from the deceptively drizzly rain, though we did shelter indoors for a tea break during a heavier shower. The camellia was repotted in a new larger whisky tub placed where the tin drum had been and the other new tub was sited where the camellia had been and had ten young Himalayan blue poppies  (Meconopsis betonicifolia) planted in.

Thanks to 60plus for hosting Derelict Sunday.

By the afternoon it was raining quite hard and then the light went, so a photo of the Front Yard as it now looks will have to follow on another day.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Stevie Nicks - For What It's Worth (2022)
Today I heard Monday's Blues Show (Radio 2), introduced by Cerys Matthews, who played this timely revival of Stephen Stills' 1966 protest song by Stevie Nicks, now available "as a digital download and streaming single. A Dolby Atmos mix of the track is also available now on all platforms that support the format."
