Poison bottle

This is another pharmacy relic that I got from my father. The green colour and the ribbing of the bottle indicate that the contents are poisonous. In this case, the contents were Nux Vomica Tincture.  Nux vomica consists of the dried ripe seeds of Strychnos nux-vomica, the strychnine tree, native to India and southeast Asia. The tincture is made by extracting the powdered seeds with alcohol.
