Xmas Lights Switch On

A good U3A photo group meeting today. We were showing our photos on the theme of ‘creative fruit’ and there was certainly a lot of creativity around. Then this evening was the Xmas lights switch on in town. I was just about to leave when it started raining, so I waited half an hour for it to stop. It was absolutely heaving in town with lots of people from other towns (you can tell as not many kids in Holt!). So I couldn’t see the stalls or if the pantomime horse race was run or if the parade took place. Instead of the carols there was a noisy and not very good group on stage (the music usually starts after the fireworks / switch on). So G and I went and bagged our spot away from the crowds and the noise ready for the fireworks, which we both love to see. I’ll take some photos of the lights another day.
