NOT ONLY SILLY SATURDAY, BUT ALSO...

...A BIRTHDAY!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We were due to go to see Mr. & Mrs. T yesterday but unfortunately, their fridge gave up the ghost and died, so as they were having someone in to put their new one in place, we changed the day of our Blipmeet to today instead but that fitted in much better with Silly Saturday.

We knew that we were going, so made sure we were showered and had done our Covid tests just after 7 o’clock this morning and then Mrs. HCB let Mrs. T know that everyone had tested negative, so it was all systems go!

We set off in plenty of time, expecting to arrive at about 10 o’clock, but that awful Mrs. Satnag took us down some very narrow and windy roads again, so we didn’t arrive until 10.18, but Mrs. T. was looking out for us and soon put the kettle on.

It’s not Mr. T’s birthday until tomorrow, but we wanted him to open his gifts today because we knew Mrs. HCB would want to take photographs - and we were right.  He was very pleased with his gifts, especially the soft and cuddly cushion that was called “Penelope” on the label and said it would be just the job to stop his head from sliding off his pillow when he goes to bed.

We all wanted out photograph taken with both Mr. & Mrs. T, so of course, it took quite a while for us all to arrange ourselves and I wonder if you can spot the odd one out?  Look very carefully!

If you guessed the elf, you would be right - and Mrs. HCB was delighted because he was a gift from Mr. & Mrs. T and there was a special reason.  Mrs. T said that her Mum, Deanna, loved elves and as Elvis was her favourite singer, she wondered if we could call him Elvis and even wondered if he could join our Silly Saturday Gang?  Of course, Mrs HCB was delighted, especially as he came with some Lindt chocolates - and you all know she is a chocoholic - so job done!  Mrs. HCB did say that she would keep the chocolates until Christmas, which made us all laugh - and we know that Admirer would have laughed too - and that would be too silly and amazing if she manages that!  However, if she does keep them until Christmas, then we will give £10 to charity!

We don’t think we have heard so much laughter on a Blipmeet and you can see in the extra collage photograph, how much everyone was laughing, although in the main shot, Mr. T looks a bit bewildered.  Mind you, we think he was a bit worried that with so many of us in the Silly Saturday Gang, all his Lindt and Malteser chocolates would soon vanish.  But we’re not like that - it’s only Mrs. HCB who is the chocoholic!

What a fun day we had and we hope to see Mr. & Mrs. T again soon - and I wonder if Mrs. HCB really will keep those chocolates until Christmas - if we were a betting gang, we would be taking bets on it, but we’re not and anyway, we don’t think she will do it but we might give the £10 to charity anyway!

Mr. & Mrs. HCB did sing Happy Birthday to Mr. T and we joined in too - we hope he has a wonderful day and that he has lots of candles on his cake because a birthday without a cake or candles is just too silly!
