Blue skies!

After all the rain,
a dry day with sunny skies.
Just what we needed!

Pretty quiet day really.  Walked into town with Ben this morning and picked up some fish and other bits.  We always go to Caffè Nero for a panettone on a Saturday and he was complaining that he was really tired.  I thought it was going to be a bit of a slog to walk home but as we set off he perked right up, started bouncing off and asked to walk along the canal :-) The canal walk is a little bit longer but it's so lovely on a sunny day, this church is along the way and you can see how blue the sky was in the photo.  
He's been a little bit mithered about building computers though.. I may have mentioned it, it's a little obsession he's struggled with in the past and it's reared its head due to a classmate building PCs.  Both Mr KCNQ2Haiku and I have been worried about where it's going and whether we're going to have drama but all things considered he's managing himself pretty well.  He's anxious and wants to do elements that are beyond his capability but he's chatting it through with us and staying pretty calm, which is really different to past ways that he's handled obsessions he can't make come true.  We've bought him a computer building simulator to use on the xbox and just hope we're helping him scratch the itch in a different way.. rather than fuelling the fire?!? Fingers crossed.
This afternoon we made some pesto and had a walk in the woods.  It's been great that it's dry, it makes such a difference when Ben can go in and out of the house to the trampoline, it's such a good outlet for him.  And now we're all settled down for the evening and Ben is playing his new simulator game.  All calm so far :-)
