Avebury stones

Its been a lovely sunny but cold day.  We all headed to Avebury for a quick walk around some of the impressive ancient Neolithic monuments here.  It was built and altered over many centuries from about 2850BC until about 2200 BC and is one of the largest and complex of Britain's Neolithic henge monuments.  Definitely worth a revisit with more time to explore the area.

We next headed into Marlborough a very attractive market village for a delicious lunch.  Another place to revisit.  A very enjoyable day out.
